The illustrations below depict the distribution of reported first sighting dates of the nine target species from across the country. They are based on a technical article in Indian Birds¹. Details of the criteria used for inclusion in these figures are described in the article. There were nine target species in the 2007/08 migration season; currently all winter migrants are being tracked in MigrantWatch
